Yesterday was the fourth of July and it was AWESOME! First we left the house around 8:30 to get to the parade. It was really fun there. I saw lots of people I know. Before the parade there is always a two mile race from Hannahford to the center. My dad was in and he's probably gonna write about it too so here's his blog:

then there was the parade which was exciting. We were glad that we didn't take Meenah because she would have been terrified of all the noise. There were loud motercycles, cars, and horns. Plus there were some Minutemen who shot guns. The floats were cool. On the firetruck one, there was water spraying out from it. I could see it coming from down the road and made sure to roll up into a ball. There was some candy, too, but I didn't get as much as last year. That's okay, though. After the parade we went to the pool club and swam. We thought it would be packed but it really wasn't. My cousin Rowan came, too. I played in the baby pool with him and he had lots of fun.
We came back home and hung out. Then we had a big dinner. And this year we went to see the fireworks at Nara Park. They were really awesome! Fourth of July was awesome!
