Bullying Poster

American Girl was having a contest where you make a poster about bullying to send to them. It's about the 2009 American Girl Doll Chrissa who gets bullied and stands up for herself. There is going to be a grand prize winner and 15 first prize winner for two age groups: 8-10 and 11-13. The grand prize winner gets to go to the American Girl Place and gets all of Chrissa's stuff (doll, books, clothes, furniture and accessories). They also get the movie of Chrissa. First prize winners get a Chrissa doll and three Chrissa books plus the Chrissa movie. I don't think I am going to win, but I really want to! The school of the winners get all this stuff and the Chrissa movie and books for the library and the winner's poster will be hung up at the school for everyone to see!

Christmas

Christmas was awesome!!! The biggest thing that I got was an Ipod nano. It's squarish and green. Santa brought it. He also brought a case and sound system for it. Santa also brought me a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel calendar. It has pictures of all these dogs that look a lot like my dog Meenah. In my stocking, I got a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel key chain. It has a little Cavalier dog on it and a bone and sign that says "Best In Show". I didn't get a Nintendo DS like I wanted. I was sad about that. But Dahlia did get one and she is letting me use it. Maybe for my birthday or next Christmas I'll get one. Christmas was great anyway!!

Christmas Break

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!! Today was the last day of the year at school!! We have a break for a week and a half. I can't wait till Christmas. Christmas Eve is tomorrow. Over Christmas break I am going to sled and (hopefully) make a snowman if the snow is sticky enough. We got a lot of powdery snow. I just can't wait to see what Santa brings.

Penguins.

My friend Jessica gave me a cute penguin for Christmas. The name on the tag was Snowbound which, since it is its given name, I will call it. He is the cutest little thing ever!

Isn't he adorable? I took a picture of him in the snow next to the branches of our Christmas tree that daddy cut off.

Ice Storm!!

On Thursday night, we got some ice rain. When I woke up on Friday morning, we had no electricity and everything outside was covered with ice. We had no school. So we went and stayed with my grandparents (Mamuma and Ajja) since they had power. It ended up that we were staying with them for five days. Longer than the ice storm I lived through eleven years ago. It lasted for four days. We were living in Vermont then and we had a wood stove. Our house was nice and warm but we didn't have water or light or anything like that. My parents put all the food outside in coolers since it was cold enough. We couldn't go to Mamuma and Ajja's house because they lived in MA. This time, though, we could drive over to their house and stay with them. Daddy had to return home a lot so that he could check on the pipes. He didn't want them to freeze. He turned on the gas stove and made a fire in the fire place. Near the fridge, it smelled really bad. But as soon as we got home yesterday, Mommy cleaned out the fridge and went grocery shopping. Our house is toasty warm now and school has been delayed two hours!

Mom and Dad's birthday

First it was mommy's birthday. She didn't want cake but we did go to a fancy Chinese restaurant that was SO good. We gave lots of presents and cards. Dahlia and Jemma used tissues in their gift bags instead of tissue paper! I had to fold them up again and put them in the tissue box. Yesterday (Thursday) it was Daddy's birthday. Mommy made him a wonderful dinner of pork roast. And she made him cake. He did want 46 candles but we only had 11. I put 4 candles in one side and 6 candles in the other. 46. He got really good presents. From Mamuma and Ajja he got a cool brown shirt. From Grammy and Grandpa, he got a fountain pen. It's real fancy. Me and my sisters all got a turn using it. He also got 150 bucks. And a book by Neal Stephenson. Whoever that is...All in all, it was a good birthday month.

UPDATE: Daddy also got a sweet hammock!
