Yesterday, my math teacher called me into the hall. No, I wasn't in trouble or anything like that. She told me that I was at the top of the math class and that I was really good at it. She said that I always do well on quizzes and tests accept for one, but that doesn't matter because I usually get 100% and that will cover up my bad grade. So she told me that if I wanted, she could give me harder homework than the rest of the class. Every time that they have to do workbook pages for homework, I will get a different assignment. I told her that I do want that. She also asked me if I want to come early in the mornings and meet with her to practice algebra. She thinks that next year I will get into the seventh grade algebra class. That class is for students that are really good at math. It is the harder class. She told me that it would be great to get a head start on that, just in case.
I felt really happy that she thinks that I'm smart and good at math! My friend got talked to by my math teacher, too. So we are going to go early in the mornings together! I don't really like math but I've always been good at it.
